Navigation Button stopped working

I have installed 1.03.1 and the Newsfox navigation button fails to invoke Newsfox - I can only invoke from a shortcut/bookmark. Is there somewhere I can check to correct settings to get this back in order - I have tried uninstalling. closed down re-installing without sucess.I am running on Firefox 3.01
