Open Newsfox in NewTab clicking NewsfoxIcon in Navigationbar

It would be great if Newsfox opens in a new Tab when clicking the NewsfoxIcon in Navigationbar.
If it behaves like Bookmarks or Chronic with there 2 Windows Sidebar and Content it would be better.
Actually it opens in the current Tab thats very annoying.
If one of the three options is adjustable in the Options it would be great, too.

NewsFox does not use any sidebar. Middle-click opens in a new tab, just as with home button. See bug#12763, bug#12764, bug#15805, bug#16312, bug#18452 for more information.
