Copy article body to clipboard provides HTMLFor illumination: :-) The 'Copy article body to clipboard' function copies the body of the article to the clipboard whenever an article is selected. Right. However, when I paste it in an another application it gives me the HTML code. Any reason for that? (I use the Text display style.) |
Re: Copy article body to clipboard provides HTML
This is so you can paste in an HTML-aware mailer and get the same appearance as in the text display view. Most text displayed in the view pane is HTML. For example, if you have Thunderbird as the default handler of mailto: links and you have copy-to-clipboard set, when you place the cursor in the body of the Thunderbird compose window and copy the clipboard to the compose-body, you get the HTML inserted(not the text view of the HTML, but the actual HTML as viewed).
