Copy article body to clipboard provides HTML

For illumination: :-)

The 'Copy article body to clipboard' function copies the body of the article to the clipboard whenever an article is selected. Right.

However, when I paste it in an another application it gives me the HTML code. Any reason for that? (I use the Text display style.)

I see. You know, I'm quite old-fashioned and I never send HTML e-mails and ask everybody not to send me any. But it's pretty impressive, I tried it in SeaMonkey Mail. Some of your answer might show up in the wiki. :-) Is it licensed under GPL? :-)
