SortingMaybe I'm missing something, or simply don't understand how the Sorting options are supposed to work, but for me NewsFox seems to ignore the Sorting settings. When I go to NewsFox options and click on the Sorting Tab, I have the First Sort set to Read and the Second Sort set to Date. Yet, regardless of the feed I choose, when I open the feed both Read and Unread articles are mixed up with one another. I can sort them manually by clicking on the "R" in the bar above the feeds, but isn't this supposed to be what the Sorting options under General Options is supposed to do? I am used FireFox RC3 on Windows XP. One example of the feeds that behave this way (and they all do) is CNN Top Stories. |
Re: Sorting
Order matters. When you do it by hand, you click on the R last, so when you put it in the options, you need to put date first and read last.
Try doing it by hand by clicking the column headers, and then put the sorts in the same order in the options dialog.
Sorting last on date or title where there are very few ties, will just order by date or title, the previous sorts will hardly matter.
Hope this helps, sorting is confusing sometimes.
