It would be nice to have a small search option in NewsFox, to search for a word in the headlines and/or the abstracts, of a single RSS feed or the entire archive/tree.
A very simple search option should do it. put it in the gray field where the feed name is.
You are absolutely right. This piece of information is on the Help page. I apologize. Since in your first reply you provided links to the release notes, I failed to check it.
As to the poor quality of documentation, the problem could be solved very easily. I can now see that at least 90% of what could be expected is in the release notes, so far be it from me to claim that it has not been done. It is just difficult to find it. (We are only users, you see.)
If putting all that information in a wiki, where it is organized according to features and not release dates does not happen because it is only a pain in the neck for the developers, which I can perfectly understand, you might find some assistance if you ask for it. (Hint.) No rule says that writing documentation should be done by the developers, on the contrary!
I would appreciate if you could tell me where I can find the "trick" I asked for/about in my first post. And then I shall keep quiet. I have already put down my opinion in a comment on bug 19585.
